About
What is a Mommy? "A Person's Mother"
What is a "SU" Mommy? "A distinguished graduate from Winston Salem State University that also happens to be an exceptional, outstanding, and loving mother."
In 2008, "SU" Mommies began with a great vision for mothers who had attended WSSU to bring their little rams together to play and to learn about WSSU. As well as, to build and increase a bond between one another. Over the years mothers in the natural and physical have exhibited an outstanding love for their alma mater by planning and attending activities for our children. Ranging from numerous play dates (attending matinees to "over the top" pool and Easter parties) to participating in great services projects ( Bright Blessings Party at Florence Crittenton, game night at the Ronald McDonald House in Charlotte NC, and Operation Christmas Child /Samaritan's Purse Project) .
"Change is inevitable. Growth is optional."
WSSU ALUMI MOMS is centered around teaching our children all about the Winston Salem State University experience. Also, to instill and embed our Motto "Enter to Learn and Depart to Serve" into their lives by participating in various community service projects throughout the year.
